SCENE INFORMATION The scene covers an area of 50 x 50 kilometers. This model leverages OpenStreetMap (OSM) data. The scene has been carefully prepared for seamless integration with 3ds Max and V-Ray Next. Each image was painstakingly rendered using the latest capabilities of V-Ray Next. Please note that while older versions of V-Ray may be supported, results are not guaranteed to be consistent. The provided preview images accurately reflect render outputs from V-Ray Next. This asset adopts a metric system based on centimeters. All assets have been scaled in accordance with real-world dimensions. Export formats include the option for collapsed mesh formats. If further support is required, please do not hesitate to contact our dedicated team. DISCLAIMER The creators of this asset optimized it specifically for use within 3ds Max and V-Ray environments. Each material included within this model has been tailored using V-Ray settings exclusively. Every light source has been meticulously crafted as a V-Ray light source. However, due to potential differences in translation during export processes, V-Ray material configurations might not translate correctly to other formats. USAGE GUIDELINES GEOMETRY The collapsed stack allows for streamlined workflows and improved efficiency within 3ds Max and V-Ray environments. All elements are accurately named and meticulously organized using robust layer structures (buildings, highways, railroads, water). For an in-depth look at the layered organization, please refer to our accompanying preview images. Notwithstanding missing or restricted data from OpenStreetMap sources, a comprehensive selection of buildings and structures has been included for users. PREVIEW IMAGING All structures depicted in the model are placed within their correct geographic contexts according to OpenStreetMap information, despite some level of distortion that might occur during rendering due to import restrictions or insufficient map resolution. Preview images also outline the specific sections not modeled or detailed, allowing for comprehensive visual orientation within scenes. No data was available to create accurate 3D geometry representations of real landmarks. Hence, modelers must consider adding extra information to represent landmark areas. Flat Model Design TREE DETAILS Our asset showcases 1.6415 million polygons with corresponding 861,798 vertices allocated uniquely to each tree branch for enhanced realism and accuracy in 3ds Max environments. Notably, the trees have been visualized as simplified objects. LOCATION OF ASSETS IN THE SCENE The assets were carefully arranged within the model's designated V-Ray plane located at its origin coordinates (0, 0, 0) for convenient import into your scenes. However, this designated export platform will not be automatically included during output, due to intended simplicity and efficiency considerations in export operations. MATERIALS AND LAYERS V-Ray materials were employed throughout the entire asset creation process for seamless consistency across your scenes. Material information (including any mapping requirements) has been accurately recorded within individual material attributes, where maps have also been supplied separately within a separate downloadable zip archive to help facilitate scene import operations and ensure comprehensive understanding of available textures used. It is crucial to note that due to potential discrepancies with UV unwrapping in 3ds Max V-Ray setups during the rendering stage due to unique model complexity characteristics (for efficient file transfer optimization considerations, which could potentially cause inconsistent material mappings in output environments) we have taken special precautions using dedicated 3D modifier for mapping operations for our project. We thus utilized custom-crafted UV mapping solutions instead. However, some inconsistencies and differences with original texture placement on assets can arise when importing to another platform due to this setup. It is worth noting here that since V-Ray is integrated directly within our design framework the models and maps do translate properly without much effort during integration with scenes created by you.
