ARL 44 for Dust Warfare 1947

Perhaps the single most capable combat vehicle ever produced by France, the ARL 44 is an excellent heavy tank that combines good survivability with outstanding firepower. The original design calls for an advanced 90mm SA45 gun that fires devastating tungsten core rounds at a rapid rate due to an auto-loader, however the designs for the HVAL weapons were stolen by the Free French before the Axis takeover leaving it exclusive to the Allies. To compensate, Vichy forces completed the design with the less advanced, but still potent, 8.8cm L/71 KwK 43 gun. As usual, select elite units whose loyalty to the Axis powers is unquestioned are entrusted with a Laser-kanone armed version instead. Back on the Allied front, the ARL 44 was the third vehicle accepted into the "Boreal" experimental phaser program, and at least one of these ARL 44-VF "de Gaulle" prototypes is known to exist.
