Arkham Horror Location Deck Holders
thingiverse
My copy of Arkham Horror 3rd edition just arrived this week and I'm beyond eager to start playing it. As soon as I sleeved the cards, I realized that I wasn't thrilled with the storage solution that came out of the box (I couldn't resist throwing in a little pun). So, I designed these deck holders to print out for each location - that way, the cards for each place will stay together when they're in the box, and I can play the game straight from those card holders. Hopefully, this will cut down on setup time significantly. I made the holder big enough for 12 sleeved cards, thinking that each location has eight cards but that we'll need to be able to add extra cards from Scenario effects. If you squeeze them tight, you can fit 15 sleeved cards in there, which should accommodate anything that happens during regular gameplay. I printed this in two parts (that's why there are two STLs), with no supports at all. There are little nubs on the bottom part and cutouts on the top to help line them up when gluing them together. I left the window at the bottom of the lid so that the location's name will still be visible when cards are loaded into it. If you want one of these for each neighborhood in the game, you'll need to print nine of them. The .blend file for this model is available to my patrons over here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/22605403! Update: I've included alternative lids and bottoms for the large cards in the game. Here are my notes about what I need to print to store all of the big cards: Location Decks (12 card, normal lid): 9 black ones Anomaly Decks (12 card, oval lid): three blue ones Headline Deck (32 card, oval lid): one brown one Event Encounter Decks (24 card, star lid): four green ones Bottoms: 12 Card: twelve of them 24 Card: four of those 32 Card: just one of that size Lids: Locations: nine black lids Ovals: four blue lids Stars: four green lids
