Arkham Horror Card Game Magnetic Chaos Tokens and Magnetic Board Stands
thingiverse
During our thrilling games of Arkham Horror LCG, we consistently pause progress to determine the crucial 'magic' number needed to feel confident when reaching into the Chaos Bag for skill tests. Those symbols (Skull, Cultist, Tablet, and Elder Thing) often change during the scenario and we want to ensure we are 'safe' for those critical tests. After a few dollars and several hours of creativity, we now have our solution - an always visible display of each token in the Chaos bag. What to print: 1) Qty 42 - Magnetic chaos token holders - 1 per chaos token. If you never play Hard or Expert, you can get away with printing less. I'll let you do the math! 2) Qty 2 - Magnet board stands - The gaps of the stand 'hook' should be wide enough to accommodate any standard size board. If you purchase one with a thicker frame, you may need to increase that gap manually before printing. 3) (Optional) Qty 1 - Chaos Token Storage Bottom 4) (Optional) Qty 1 - Chaos Token Storage Top What you need besides the 3D printed objects available above: 1) An extra set of chaos tokens (if you're here looking for Arkham gadgets and solutions, you most likely have two core sets) 2) 2mm X 6mm magnets OR 0.08" X 0.25" magnets (Qty 42) - Amazon is your friend as 100 packs of magnets can be bought for under $10. The actual hole for the magnet is 1.5mm X 7 mm. 3) A magnetic board - Again, Amazon...I bought this 11"x14" for $6 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Q2ZYDA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Of course, if you buy a board with its own stand... Work you need to do: 1) Superglue magnets into token holders. Easy enough, but ideally, you should ensure that each token's magnet is attached with the same polarity facing. This will allow for easier storage.
