I love my Extreme Q vaporizer for aroma therapy but I found that the form factor was “too big” for me. It easily tips over and takes up a lot of room on my small side table so I completely re-designed it to be shorter and more boxy so that I can put stuff on top of it. It does lose a bit of performance due to the 45° angle to the aroma therapy cup so you do need to increase the temperature but other than that, it works exactly the same as the original. The parts that come in contact with heated parts (the metal chimney for example) should be printed in PETG or similar. Other parts can be printed in PLA. The base can be printed or laser cut. You can print the outer shell in PETG or PLA (mine is printed in PLA and I havent had any issues). The heater core should be wrapped in heat wrap meant for motorcycle exhaust pipes (ex https://www.amazon.com/LEDAUT-100Titanium-Exhaust-Motorcycle-Stainless/dp/B0157LYLE2?th=1 ) to insulate the heat and center the core in the metal chimney. This wrap should be tight enough to keep the heater core centered even with the whip or bag attached. You can also wrap the outside of the chimney to help keep the plastic holder from degrading. All of the screw holes are meant for m3 screws. The main shell should use heat set inserts.
