Arimaa Game Board

With 3D printing you can create an Arimaa game board with a proper 'trap' square (i.e. an empty space) This means there are 60 squares to print instead of 64. I made four distinct shapes to make this easy to assemble. I don't believe that having alternating color squares is necessary for an arimaa board, but you can accomplish that by printing half of each piece type in contrasting colors (see directions) Also included is the SketchUp file I started with. This includes a simple square shape, should you also want a chess board. Instructions You will need to print: 24x side pieces 16x trap sides 16x trap corners 4x corners To put the board together you just connect all the sides and corners together to make the perimeter, then assemble four trap corner pieces and four trap sides to make a 3x3 set of squares with the 'trap' in the middle. Do that three more times and lay the 3x3s into the perimeter and you have an arimaa board! This should work well with caffiene's Arimaa set 1 pieces. You can also make a chess board by printing four simple squares to lay into the trap squares.
