Replacement knob for Ariens Snowblowers, part number 07509600 may be accurate.\r\n\r\nYou can purchase one at this link: https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Knob/07509600/1770004 and it currently costs $24.55.\r\n\r\nI bought a snowblower that came missing the knob to rotate the chute, so I had to find an alternative solution.\r\n\r\nA 3/8 inch diameter shaft is used in this snowblower, and I found a push nut at my local hardware store for 30 cents.\r\n\r\nPrinting the rest of the part cost $1.05 in filament, saving me $23 compared to buying it.\r\n\r\nThe code for this project has around 40 lines, which is equivalent to over 50 cents saved per line.\r\n\r\nBefore printing, make sure to check the shaft size as my gear shifter knob uses a larger shaft.\r\n\r\nYou can easily modify the scad file to adjust the size if needed.\r\n\r\nI printed the parts in their original orientation with support for the knob.\r\n\r\nIt's recommended to alternate directions of your support for better results, as part of my support fell over while printing but the print still succeeded.
