Ariane 5 Helpful Bits + JWST Graphics
thingiverse
Made the incredible Ariane 5 model (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3195484/) and created a few extra pieces to aid its construction. Once piece is a simple square shim used to support the rocket motor bottom while the boosters are attached. The other piece is a booster coupler or brace that attaches the boosters to the main rocket body at the bottom. The rocket model needs 4 of these, one front and back for each booster. Note: the curved ends of the booster coupler each have a slightly different radius, to better fit the booster and rocket bodies. When you assemble, if the coupler end doesn't quite match the body you're gluing it to, try flipping it. Also note, you might need to cut a small notch in one or two couplers to accommodate a horizontal ring feature on the booster. Including some graphics particular to the James Webb Space Telescope mission. The rest of the graphics can be found in the files accompanying the original Ariane 5 model file.
