In Greek mythology, The Argonauts were a brave band of heroes who embarked on an epic journey before the Trojan War to help Jason reach Colchis and claim the Golden Fleece. The term "Argonaut" originated from their vessel, the Argo, named after its master builder, Argus. These seafarers are also referred to as Minyans, after a prehistoric tribe that inhabited the area.
