A nearly complete mortar is discovered in the Roman villa at Quinta de S. João / Quinta da Laranjeira (Arrentela, Seixal). This ancient tool was used for food preparation, with a specific focus on grinding. The remaining portion of the mortar boasts more than half of its rim intact, upon which the spillway is skillfully crafted.
