Cosmo Wenman shares his 3D capture of Skulpturhalle Basel's plaster cast, "Head of Ares," which was molded from Munich Glyptothek's 2nd-century BC marble head of Ares. This piece is in the same style as the Louvre's famous full-figure Ares Borghese. The 19th-century cast features a sphinx mohawk, a reconstruction based on similar depictions that have since been removed from the Munich marble. As part of his project "Through A Scanner, Skulpturhalle," Wenman showcases the 3D print on an Objet500, and thanks both Skulpturhalle Basel museum and Autodesk's Reality Capture division for their support.
