Ares 3D Printer Spool Holder

This replaces the stock horizontal spool holder on the Ares 3D printer by Easy Arts, making use of existing hardware and a bearing. A single layer of Duct Tape is wrapped around the outside of the bearing to securely attach it into the Spool Arm. The designed spool mount prints perfectly without requiring supports. For successful printing, I suggest turning the Spool Arm upside down and adding a large brim at least 10mm in width. UPDATE 11/19/2015 A crucial addition is the AresSpoolEnd-Taper to keep wider rolls of filament centered accurately. Print Settings for best results: Printer: Ares Rafts: They can be ignored completely. Supports: Not a single one should be included. Resolution: This needs to be set at 0.18 mm. Infill: 12.5% is the optimal rate. Notes: It's essential that the Spool Arm be printed with threads first, accompanied by a 15mm brim for perfect printing.
