ArduPilot Mega 2.5 Autopilot Project
grabcad
This ZIP file comprises SOLIDWORKS CAD files for an ArduPilot Mega 2.5 autopilot kit, which was used in a Senior Design Capstone Project in 2013. The objective of the project was to integrate the kit into an airframe and fine-tune its PID controllers, as well as code custom functionality into the Arduino for target release on a programmed waypoint. The kit was tested in stages, starting with telemetry and progressing to stabilization and autonomous guidance. Although automatic landing was possible, it wasn't attempted due to budget and time constraints. There were 13 successful test flights and the payload was deployed accurately before a servo malfunction led to the plane crashing on the 14th flight. The airframe used was a Senior Telemaster with a loaned LiPo battery and Scorpion electric motor from the project's professor, also the pilot. The ZIP file can be used if you have similar equipment.
