Introducing a custom-designed housing and tower for the new 3DR Mediatek GPS. The tower is specifically built for your rig and can be modified to suit individual requirements by editing the Sketchup file. The octagonal socket allows versatile mounting options at 90 or 45 degrees; however, a round design could have been more suitable. The housing is comprised of three components. The lower two parts attach securely (though not necessarily requiring screws) to the tower with 4mm PC chassis fan screws. The GPS unit is fitted using 2.5 x 6mm screws through the two lower parts, while the top part simply snaps into place.
