Ardumower Arctic Hare mod by Jussi
thingiverse
This is a remix of raess Ardumower Arctic Hare design. Most parts are printable without supports and some need supports but less than the original. The parts are stronger and many little things have been changed here and there. It should be more waterproof, etc. Probably none of these parts can be mixed with original design parts. The biggest change is an added cover for cutting blades. The charging station is my own design. Station contacts are 20x20 U-shaped aluminum extrusion with springs. Mower contacts are made from 12 mm copper capillary end caps and there are magnets inside to ensure contact. I printed all mower parts with devil design ASA except wheel surfaces, which are TPU. These parts are made for a Prusa mk2 printer, so they are bigger than originals. All except wheel surfaces are printable in a 250x210x200 building space, and wheel surfaces have a diameter of 218mm. Electronics, motors, blades, etc., are from Marotronics (this kit contains a lot of stuff): https://www.marotronics.de/Elektronik-Set-fuer-den-Rasenroboter-aus-dem-3D-Drucker Battery pack casing is N.E.S.E module. Printed them on PETG. You have to deal with that. UPDATE: 30.4.2019 Mower is now completed. Some pictures and testing video uploaded. https://youtu.be/zPInJqTAmYc UPDATE: 4.5.2019 Parts I used are now listed in the description. Next thing to do is perimeter wire installation and some kind of shelter for charging station and mower. UPDATE: 8.9.2019 Video added, mower drives smooth with IMU and odometry. EPDM foam rubber bumper was too sensitive. Garden hose works much better. Center U.S. sensor is too low; it can't be used at all. Otherwise, it has been working as expected. I have some upgrades coming during winter: wlan antenna, more bumper hose, U.S. sensors to new positions, etc., minor things.
