The Arduino Uno is an ATmega328-based microcontroller board featuring 14 digital I/O pins, 6 PWM outputs, and 6 analog inputs alongside a 16MHz resonator, USB connectivity, power jack, ICSP header, and reset button. Unlike previous models, it employs Atmega16U2 (Atmega8U2 for R2 versions) as a USB-to-serial converter instead of FTDI driver chips. To operate, simply connect to a computer via USB or power with an AC adapter or battery.
