Note: Work in progress. Significant changes expected over the next few weeks. All STLs are randomly oriented, not following suggested print orientation. Finalized design will be properly oriented. Central control unit for the Arduino weather station project. https://www.thingiverse.com/SeanTheITGuy/collections/arduino-weather-station This housing is designed to be weather-resistant and contains necessary electronics and batteries to power the entire system. It's based on a NodeMCU Arduino unit, along with three 18650 Lithium batteries. Update 2019-03-26: Power system has been rethought for efficiency reasons. Charging three 18650s directly from the solar panel's 12v output makes more sense than previously thought, and then stepping down stored power to ~5v using a buck box is preferable. To achieve this: * 3S Lithium Charger * 18650 3.7v Battery * LM2596 DC DC Step Down * NodeMcu ESP8266 Dev Board Sensor assemblies will be mounted to this box's 70x70 mount points. A blank is included for covering unused mount ports. Mounting post features a 1.5" stem, the only non-metric measurement used, allowing for easy mounting with basic hardware. Programming and wiring diagrams are forthcoming. Update 2019-06-23: Progress has been ongoing despite some shipping issues of sensors from China. Currently have temp and humidity sensors on hand, along with basic code that makes them work and upload data to ThinkSpeak, which is the preferred method for gathering and collating data. Optimizing code and creating wiring diagrams are next steps, followed by setting up a github repository for all project data.
