Arduino USB Connector Mount
pinshape
Ever find yourself connected to your Arduino, only to forget it's there and then rush off to test something, resulting in the cord being yanked off the table, dragging everything across the floor? If you're lucky, nothing will be broken. This handy connector allows you to prevent all that hassle by using your USB cable as a mount for your Arduino. It should work on both PC and Mac, unlike some laptop screen clips or other mounting solutions. Instructions are straightforward: 1. Download this widget. 2. Print it with the large cavity facing upwards. 3. It's recommended to use a Type A/B USB cable with dimensions of 16mm x 8mm for Type A and 12mm x 10mm for Type B. Notes are essential: 1. The slots in each hole allow for some play, ensuring a snug fit for both USB connectors. Connecting the Arduino to the cable secures everything, leaving your Arduino firmly attached to your computer. 2. The stress relief holes may not print well due to Skeinforge algorithm issues creating floating island slices. This isn't a major problem and will be updated with a better STL file soon. Check out this YouTube setup video for more information: (still in progress) Cheers! Enjoy the convenience of a securely connected Arduino.
