Arduino uno self watering plant system
myminifactory
This plant pot system features a three-tier design with a hidden base, providing ample space for water and a water pump. A separate area is dedicated to an Arduino Uno board, which has built-in supports for secure placement and additional space for h-bridge motor driver boards, batteries, or other components. Three removable top pieces fit snugly into each tier, holding plants in place; the largest piece features two holes: one for control wires and another for a PVC water pipe connecting to a submerged motor. Users can choose between automated watering at set intervals or installing a soil moisture sensor to optimize watering based on plant needs. Required components include: * A submersible DC water pump * An Arduino Uno board (or equivalent) * A small, waterproof DC power cable * A motor driver board * A USB male B connector for programming or powering the Arduino * Optional: a battery and step-down board to power the Arduino and motors; a soil moisture sensor Key features of this design include: * Holes on the side of the concealed area provide ventilation for boards, wires, and other components. * The plant trays are 20mm deep, with each tray slightly smaller than its section to ensure easy assembly despite printer tolerances. * A small three-way spout can be attached to the larger top piece, evenly distributing water among the three planters. * The design measures 186mm x 163.5mm x 60mm, fitting comfortably on most average home printers. * A 1/2 scale test print is available for reference. Users are encouraged to provide feedback and suggest improvements; any changes will be implemented as soon as possible.
