Arduino Uno Protective BasePlate with flaps
thingiverse
After printing the base plate by jakob_dk2300 -- http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1173172 -- and discovering its exceptional design for safeguarding boards against shorts without completely enclosing them, I had several clone UNOs where the through-hole pins from the plugs in front were slightly too long to fit easily. To resolve this issue, I elevated the slit a bit further away from the bottom. Next, I cut out the parts with holding protrusions into flaps, allowing for easier insertion of the Uno by lifting them away from the board while it was being placed inside.
