Arduino UNO Project Box with Banana Jacks
thingiverse
This case gives your Arduino Uno project a safe, secure space that can accommodate up to four banana jack plugs and a snap-on lid. All of these features are seamlessly integrated, allowing you to remove the Uno or the lid without needing any tools. I often relied on banana jacks but never had an efficient way to detach equipment until now. When building the wiring to the banana jacks, use the thickest wires suitable for your application. This is because thicker wires provide better security for the Uno in the case. Without them, the Uno might shift around if it's not secured with another method. Another idea is to add a jumper wire that forms a loop off the top of your top shield. The wire can be bent to lightly touch the lid. Thicker wires are preferred. I designed this using Sketchup and printed it successfully with both 3D45 and 3D20. Those files are also included in the download for this project. A built-in support is incorporated into the design for the USB connector on the Uno, which is meant to be disconnected after the build is complete. The design has printed perfectly well for me without any additional supports needed.
