Arduino Uno Open Case for Shield Attachment
thingiverse
This is a custom designed enclosure for an Arduino Uno board that holds a shield in place with snap hooks. It has been thoroughly tested with an Arduino CNC shield, which rises 5mm above the top of this case. The snap hooks are positioned 6mm above the top of the case to ensure a secure fit. The design also features two recessed holes for attaching the base to a standard 2020 aluminum rail commonly used in 3D printer frames. The screw holes are designed to accommodate M3 screws, and any length will work. To attach my enclosure to my Anet A2 frame, I used 5mm long M3 screws. This case fits the Arduino Uno board perfectly, with pegs that keep it in place but do not prevent it from falling out if tilted beyond a 90-degree angle. To address this issue, I added snap hooks to the case that secure the shield and keep it tightly in place between the shield and the case.
