I use an AZDelivery microcontroller board that's nearly identical to Arduino Uno to write a boot loader on my 3D printer. I had a USB mainboard connection cable with ten pins, which is wider than the standard one. Since there's enough space available, you can leave the connector sticking out from the side without any issues. All I needed to do was modify the lid so that the larger connector could fit through it. I purchased this AZDelivery microcontroller board on Amazon.
