Arduino Uno DB9 Case
thingiverse
This enclosure was designed specifically to hold an Arduino Uno R3 equipped with a DB9 serial connector, converting USB into a serial connection for our Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) pad. I can provide the corresponding Arduino code if you're interested in that as well. This is version 1 of this design, featuring a magnetic top and ample room for cabling. If I were to redesign it, I would make modifications to the posts securing the board, which tend to break when printed with PLA material. Instead, I would either use straight posts for gluing or holes for screws. Please note that version 1 does not have an opening for the power cable; we can draw enough power from USB for our purposes. Additionally, the DB9 cutout is now flush against the side instead of protruding slightly. An update on March 29, 2019 included versions with posts and a design featuring a cutout for the power adapter.
