Arduino Uno Boblight Case with 3.5mm Jack
thingiverse
I'm Sharing My Arduino UNO Powered TV Backlight Setup. The Arduino is being powered via USB, so the female barrel connector is concealed. The only exposed connection to the Arduino is the USB cable. Standoffs for the Arduino fit M3 screws perfectly, which thread in smoothly. The other hole accommodates a 3.5mm jack like this one, inset so that the threads are long enough and the nut lies flat. This 3.5mm jack transmits data to the WS2801 LED strip. The lid fits snugly with tabs. Printed dimensions measure 26x86x86mm. Both case and lid had to be rotated in Cura for proper slicing. I printed this model with 1.2mm walls, but it took an eternity and featured a small bit of infill between the inner and outer walls. It probably doesn't require such thick walls, but it feels extremely sturdy and has some decent weight to it. The electronics tutorial used was from this adafruit tutorial.
