Arduino to ESP8266 base adapter
thingiverse
I use a blue base for prototyping on my proto board and Arduino or RaspberryPi. Each component has its designated spot, making work a breeze. Following previous designs (a Raspberri Pi to ESP8266 adapter https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3910625 and an LCD holder in the same space https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4018728 ), I designed a new adapter for the Arduino or Mega board to hold an ESP8266. Once built, I noticed the screw holes were too tight. I fixed this issue by using a screwdriver to loosen them with a bit of force. The original design files are attached in FreeCAD format for anyone to modify as needed.
