Arduino Shield Spacers
thingiverse
Several of the Arduino shields that I own suffer from not sitting evenly and uniformly. For example: * Seeed Studio Grove shield - has a 2x3 female header (ICSP) which prevents the shield from sitting flush, and when pressure is applied to the shield, the board pivots. * SparkFun MIDI shield - doesn't have a 2x3 female header for the ICSP, but does have a potentiometer in that location, and the feet of the potentiometer come close to the male ICSP pins on the Arduino (a potential short), and the buttons on the top of the MIDI shield cause the shield to pivot when pressed. * SparkFun Qwiic shield - when the shield is fully inserted, the ICSP pins touch the shield, and the shield also pitches down. To overcome this, I created some mini spacers in three different sizes - 1x6, 1x8, and 1x10. Included with this 'thing' is the SVG file, and you can use it by importing it into your CAD program of choice, and then extruding the desired height. I also included sets of 3mm high and 5mm hight spacers.
With this file you will be able to print Arduino Shield Spacers with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Arduino Shield Spacers.
