"Arduino RF433 controller via Ethernet" project case with Batman/Joker theme
thingiverse
This is a DIY Arduino Ethernet RF433 controller that I designed for a home automation system. It constantly listens to commands sent from my smartphone over ethernet and switches on/off various lights in my residence, driving RF controlled mains relays and other DIY Arduino LED strip projects along the way. To build this project, you'll need a few special components and some soldering skills. Here are the necessary parts: Sparkfun Arduino Pro Mini (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11113) RF433 transmitter (http://www.icstation.com/433mhz-transmitter-receiver-arduino-project-p-1402.html) Mini ENC28J60 Ethernet LAN Network Module (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-ENC28J60-Ethernet-LAN-Network-Module-For-Arduino-51-AVR-SPI-PIC-STM32-LPC-G-/272138979501) There are various libraries available to drive these components, such as: Radiohead (https://github.com/PaulStoffregen/RadioHead) for the RF433 module Ethercard (https://github.com/jcw/ethercard) for the Microchip ENC28J60 I added a 12 DC-DC step down switching converter to convert 12v to 5v, as the RF433 modules have better range at 12v. I also added a 3.3v linear voltage regulator, but surprisingly, the ENC28J60 works fine without logic level conversion, so I'm using 5v logic. All of these components can be packed neatly on the connector board, which you'll need to solder yourself. My previous projects were done with OpenScad, and I've included all sources in the design files.
