Arduino & RAMPS Holder - 2020 OpenBeam Mount
thingiverse
I was looking for a straightforward, easy-to-print mount that I could rely on for my Arduino MEGA 2560 and RAMPS 1.4 setup. Most mounts I found required screws I didn't have, support clips I didn't want, and were kind of flimsy. This one is a simple slide-in design that keeps the Arduino and RAMPS a little further away from the open beam it attaches to. It's specifically designed for a 2020 beam mount, held in place by just one M3x6 screw. No supports are needed, and with 50% infill, it prints out quite firm. By March 26, 2018, I still had no problems with the original MEGA mount, but I needed something slightly shorter. So, V9S is a slightly shorter version of this mount. The MEGA slides on more easily, and it's stronger, so it won't sag over time as much as the V7 did. I also moved the mounting screws to the outside for easier attachment to the 2020 open beam. Print Settings: Printer: Kossel Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 50% Notes: There's a little wiggle room in the slide-in tray, so at worst case, you might need a washer on the M3 screw to clamp the edge of the MEGA.
