Arduino MIDI Stepper Synth
thingiverse
I created a program that converts an Arduino into a MIDI device and enables you to "play" some NEMA 17 stepper motors. I had noticed others undertaking this project before, but there was scarce code available on the subject, and what did exist was either confusing, complicated, or limited (usually all three!). I decided to design my own code from scratch and document it so that anyone can use it, as well as comprehend how the code functions. Ironically, this code is extremely simple, with a single function actually running the steppers. Surprisingly enough, it resolves the issue of operating multiple stepper motors on an Arduino simultaneously. The sole genuine purpose of these 3D models is to hold the stepper motors and make everything appear professional.
