Arduino Mega Pin Base and Cover
thingiverse
Updated Pin Base for Arduino Mega designed to support the board without any need for firm securing. The cover fits snugly over the pin base and accommodates an 80mm fan attached on one side, a voltage meter on top, and two 2.5" diameter mounting holes for SPST switches. Dimensions are specified in inches, so be sure to adjust accordingly! Updates as of January 30, 2016: Double-walled construction was added to enhance the strength of the case without significantly impacting its appearance. The pin mounts were also resized to minimize the risk of snapping during removal from the print bed. This mod is particularly useful for a Ramps 1.4 setup on MPCNC. Updates as of February 2, 2016: The base plate was elongated to accommodate the LCD connectors on ramps and the cover connectors on the base plate were thinned to allow for shrinkage. Print Settings: Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Unnecessary Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 30% or higher recommended, with 70% providing ideal results. Notes: The thin walls of this part require adequate infill for structural integrity, with satisfactory results at 30%, better performance at 50%, and excellent strength at 70%.
