thingiverse
This object features a mounting plate and drilling guide for use with the "Arduino Mega / Mega 2560 / Due Drilling And Mounting Plates." Since the plates are not symmetrical, locate the notch on the side that houses the power jack and ethernet cable. The base plate has a thickness of two millimeters. For fastening the board to the mounting plate, M2 5 mm or 1/4″ 4-40 screws will be necessary. The mounting holes have a diameter of three millimeters. Since these holes do not extend through the lower layer, you will need to drill them yourself for a proper fit. Furthermore, note that the post situated near pins 21-22 on Arduino_Mega_Mounting_Plate.stl is positioned one mm lower than others due to nearby soldering pads. This was an essential design choice in order to accommodate these features. In comparison, V2 version features a standard five millimeter post.
