Arduino Mega 2560 Case (ADAM Computer Floppy Drive) The COLECO ADAM is an awesome system that deserves more love, but unfortunately, Coleco rushed its release, leaving us with what can only be described as an engineering prototype. As a UK resident, I've spent countless hours and effort to get my hands on a working ADAM system, not to mention the floppy drive. System information was also hard to come by, but slowly, I'm gathering the parts I need and making sympathetic mods to bring my machine closer to what Coleco could have achieved if they'd taken their time. But what does this have to do with the Arduino Mega 2560? An incredible individual has designed a floppy drive emulator for this computer that is both excellent and easy to build. Plus, it's surprisingly cheap, considering the kit prices for the ADAM are steep, even by Apple standards. Link: https://github.com/Kalidomra/AdamNet-Drive-Emulator Inspired by this project, I decided to create a case for the Arduino Mega 2560 based on the ADAM floppy drive design. I'm pleased with the result and thought I'd share it with fellow Arduino enthusiasts who might be looking for an enclosure. There's also a version of the case with a hole for an LCD 1602 Keypad Shield, which is slightly larger. To connect the shield to the Arduino pins, simply cut off the shield pins and solder some wire or ribbon cable. The holes line up with the keypad buttons, so just get some suitable button caps from fleaBay and you're ready to go.
