Human: Designed specifically for an Arduino Uno with an Ethernet Shield, plus various components to fit snugly inside. Dimensions: (Rough outside measurements) X=72mm Y=131.5mm Z=42.5mm. The purpose of this project box is to monitor DC voltage and transmit the readings over Ethernet via UDP, which can be received and displayed remotely using a Python socket client. This was a quick build for a last-minute prototype, but it's still a work in progress. Maybe someone will find this useful. Disclaimer: I'm not skilled at programming, so I'm trying OpenSCAD for the first time. The code is probably inefficient, but it works. There are likely many improvements to be made in terms of box layout and programming methods. I've included numerous comments throughout the code to explain each section's purpose. The Ethernet connector used was a Legrand Cat 5e RJ45 Coupler Keystone Insert (Part# WP3451-WH-V1 from Lowes). Three circular holes at the top are for LED lights, while the bottom square hole is intended for USB connection. Once the USB bulkhead connector arrives, that will be replaced. The bottom right circular hole serves as a passage for power wires with a grommet until the power connector arrives. The lid features #4-40 machine screw holes. To print the feet, remember to place the "lid.stl" file in the same folder as the box. If not, the import statement will fail and you'll be left with a box without feet. SCAD and STL files are included. The proto-board, on top of a SEEED Studio Ethernet Shield, has five input channels to measure DC voltage from 0-55 vdc. Hot off the printing bed. Proto-Board
