Arduino Insect
cults3d
This is an old project that my oldest son and I collaborated on together. My son wanted to build a robot, and what better way to begin than with this insect? It's been about three years since we created this insect together. At the time, we couldn't find any decent designs for making an Arduino insect, so we made our own. The prototype shield at the top was designed to keep the wire-ring organized and clean. We bent the legs out of 2.5 mm RVS rod. Shopping list: 1x Arduino Uno, 2x standard servos (I used Robbe FS100), 1x ultrasonic sensor (I used HC-SR04), 1x 9-volt battery, and various M3 nuts and bolts. Unfortunately, the Arduino insect is currently dismantled. I repurposed the Arduino and servos for another project, but unfortunately, I lost the Arduino code somewhere along the way. However, I found a page on Instructables that shows how to make and program an Arduino insect at http://www.instructables.com/id/BUILD-YOUR-OWN-INSECT-ROBOT-USING-ARDUINO-AND-SERV/.
With this file you will be able to print Arduino Insect with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Arduino Insect.
