Arduino Holder with Battery Mounts
thingiverse
These Arduino carrier board designs allow for mounting an Arduino, breadboard and battery holder of your choice. Ideal for untethered projects or classes without the need for a PC or wall wart per participant. The smaller version accommodates a 400-point breadboard with either a 9V or AA/AAA battery pack, while the larger one houses an 830-point board with both 9V and AA/AAA options, suitable for powering servos or other devices. To assemble, cut the black lines and etch the red ones on 3mm acrylic. Secure 9V batteries and battery packs using 1/2" wide Velcro cable management straps or SparkFun's 9V holder with three 3/8" long #2 bolts. Alternatively, use 9V to barrel jack adapters or snap connector-based holders for added flexibility. Rechargeable 8-cell AA batteries provide ample voltage for most projects and prolong battery life. Arduino is attached using three M3x16 bolts with 1/4" nylon spacers, with an additional hole for newer models with ICP headers. For those without a laser cutter, kits or laser-cut plates are available in the store.
