Arduino Hardcase - Tactical Badge Edition
youmagine
Based on Arduino Hardcase by risknc - thingiverse.com/thing:13466 This version eliminates recessed screws/nuts, reduces acrylic requirements, and doesn't demand any gluing. A hole at the top rear allows for attaching a lanyard or other mounting mechanism. The HeatSync Labs logo is prominently displayed on the front of this tactical Arduino holster, ensuring your uC remains safe in even the most extreme Defcons! Import the files and adjust the logo/text as desired. Before proceeding, confirm that your laser will engrave the logo/text without issue. Then, cut screw holes and finally cut out the outlines to avoid any mistakes. Plan ahead to minimize waste by duplicating and arranging the pieces accordingly. If you're not using Arduino Unos, measure the outer dimensions, thickness, port placement, and mounting holes carefully to ensure a snug fit. Cut the top 3 items from 1/8" (3mm) acrylic and the bottom 2 items from 1/4" (6mm) acrylic. Note that some Arduinos may exceed 15mm in height when including leads on the bottom of the board, requiring you to file down the power/usb leads for a proper fit. Optional: all 3 U-shape side pieces can be cut from 6mm acrylic, but this will result in a less snug fit and reduced accessibility to the headers. Assemble the top (logo) plate, side pieces, and back plate as desired using 1" (25.4mm) long machine screws and nuts, preferably M4 or 6-32. Attach the lanyard and enjoy! Mounting holes for attaching the Arduino to the backplate are provided, but they require short screws that may not fit inside.
