Arduino/electronics box with Terminal block and strain releif
thingiverse
The primary intention behind this box design is to create an organized space for projects after they transition from the breadboard stage and become more durable. This can be achieved by encasing all components within a compact, closable container. The main electronics compartment is spacious enough to accommodate an Uno board along with shields, featuring mounting points to secure an Uno-sized board in place. The design allows for slight adjustments to accommodate larger boards and additional mounting points can be added as needed. Below this area, there's space to mount a terminal block by screwing it into the back of the box. A 2.5mm - ¬95mm long terminal block was used, but it could be customized to fit specific requirements. Once connected, the electronics are protected from external tugs and yanks due to direct wiring. At the bottom of the terminal block lies a series of cable tie holes that allow cables to be secured onto the board. This reduces the likelihood of them being pulled out. The back of these holes is recessed, ensuring the box remains flat on a surface when the cable ties are inserted. Up to five cables can be tied, and there are corresponding arches in the terminal block cover for unimpeded passage. The lid for the electronics compartment comes in various styles: a full height and low profile option depending on the amount of components to be fitted inside. An alternative lid features a hole designed specifically for a 128*64 1.3" OLED display. A final lid includes a slot on one side, accommodating a programming or Ethernet cable, which was not part of the original plan but serves as a convenient feature nonetheless.
