Arduino Digital Tachometer
cults3d
A digital non-contact TACHOMETER that uses IR technology; the microcontroller development board is an Arduino Pro Micro, that is small and can be powered by a micro USB cable. Connected to that there is a 0.96 inches OLED display for displaying the measurements, and the IR sensor module. You have to connect the display to the SDA and SCL (or SCK) pins of the Arduino Pro Micro (check the pinout for the pins numbers), and the data pin of the sensor to the interrupt pin 2 (the one marked as RX on the board). Then you can upload the code that you will find in the link below (Google Drive) to the Arduino. This project is very CHEAP and the measurements are very ACCURATE.
