My students, Moises Villanueva and Jesus Mora Lupian, took on the task of recreating the Compact Arduino Robot Chassis model in Autodesk Inventor with impressive results. They not only replicated the design but also made significant improvements to make it even more robust. We reengineered the chassis to increase its durability, while also relocating the Arduino board for easier access and reprogramming without disrupting the wheel assembly. The updated design incorporates additional enhancements that further enhance its functionality. This project serves as an excellent introduction to robotics and Arduino programming fundamentals for our students. Building a two-wheeled robot with Arduino is incredibly straightforward, making it perfect for beginners. Moreover, this initial project can be easily expanded to incorporate advanced features such as ultrasonic sensors and other innovative elements, opening up exciting possibilities for further development and exploration.
