Arducopter Motor Mount
thingiverse
The original acrylic motor mounts in the Arducopter kit are not favored, as one has already cracked after a tree landing. This replacement part is a single piece that moves the motor 16mm inboard, allowing two motor screws to pass through the arm. At 8g weight with 75% fill, they are lighter than acrylic alternatives (10g). However, this design has not yet been tested in flight, as it is still being printed. It's user-friendly to modify for various motors, including some Turnigy models, although untested at present. Print the part and slide it onto the arms until the outer hole aligns with the existing one; heat gun assistance may be helpful due to tight fit. Drill a new hole through the motor mount's other aligned hole using alternating drilling directions for precision. Secure the motor using two long and short screws.
