Human: ArduBot is a homegrown robot fully fabricated on the Reprap 3D printer. It's based on an Arduino Nano board, servos, and ultrasonic sensors. The build is effortless, assembly straightforward, and incredibly fun - perfect for beginners exploring electronics and robotics. ArduBot is fully controlled by IR remote control with three operational modes: manual navigation through forward, backward, right, or left commands via the IR remote; autonomous operation that avoids obstacles while finding the most efficient path; and monitoring objects in front of the ultrasonic sensor. To experience ArduBot for yourself, please check out the tutorial at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a9aTn8atQU For enthusiasts wanting to build their own version, download the source code, schematics, and 3D designs from GitHub: https://github.com/davidhrbaty/ArduBot Here are the assembly instructions: 1. First, print these parts: * Front mount * Rear mount * Speaker cube part * Speaker grille * Battery holder * Battery pack * hc-sr04 front unit * hc-sr04 back piece * Small wheel holder piece * Small wheel top section * One small wheel part, and 2 main wheel units 2. Now purchase these components: * Ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 * Servo motors (Futaba S3003) * Micro servo motor (SG90) * Arduino Nano rev. 3 * IR receiver (TSOP382 or equivalent model) * PC Speaker unit * Four AAA battery packs 3. Hack your Futaba servos to rotate a full 360 degrees, referring to tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK8mhnEzcvY 4. Put all printed components together. 5. Connect everything according to the provided schematic found at: https://github.com/davidhrbaty/ArduBot. 6. Adjust the program for your specific IR remote controller's layout. 7. Upload this adjusted Arduino program via your USB cable to your Nano board downloaded from: https://github.com/davidhrbaty/ArduBot 8. Finally, fit AAA battery units into their assigned slots in the battery pack assembly unit. And you're good to go with your new robot companion.
