3D Modelers captured Ardrossan Castle during the first week of 2019's Exploring Castle Hill Excavations. The images used were taken on two separate days with visitors and diggers present, but Reality Capture software removed much of the noise and Blender edited out problem areas. Ardrossan Castle Hill is part of a Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Project led by Northlight Heritage for Garnock Connections. This project is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Environment Scotland. The excavations were carried out by Rathmell Archaeology & Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society experts.
