The specimen, meticulously preserved through an epoxy resin cast, measures 158 mm in length, 120 mm in width, and 90 mm in height. Designated as RLA catalog no. 2501.1rp96-1 (cast), the cranium is a significant addition to the field of paleoanthropology. It was discovered by Tim White and his team in 1994, marking a crucial milestone in the study of early human evolution. The cast, BH-039, was expertly crafted by Bone Clones, Inc., and is now part of the esteemed teaching collection of the Research Laboratories of Archaeology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The model, designed by Aidan Paul, stands as a testament to the team's dedication to preserving our ancient heritage for future generations.
