My wife absolutely adores her Arctic Flight iPad stand both at home and on airplanes, but she recently upgraded from her old iPad 3 to the latest 2018 9.7" iPad. The new iPad is a different size and doesn't fit in the bracket correctly, so I had to make it work before she would even unwrap it. What is the Arctic Flight? It's an ingenious iPad holder/stand designed to smash into the tray table of an airplane seat to hold your iPad at eye level. This innovative design is surprisingly not more popular. Unfortunately, they no longer manufacture the Arctic Flight as it was a typical one-and-done Kickstarter project in 2012. I bought hers off Amazon in 2014 and another one on eBay just in case. This piece nestles into the bracket and makes up for the difference in width (16.2mm) and thickness (1.9mm). If you're still using your Arctic Flight with a different iPad model, modifying this design shouldn't be too hard. I've created a TinkerCAD design for it: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/i7fdBwHR1mc. You can also ask me nicely and I might just do it for you.
