ARCOG Rotary Engine for SIADOR Cycle (RP)
grabcad
The ARCOG gear system is a new type of gear train featuring circular arc cogs and two simpler interdependent circular arcs for tooth mating surfaces and compensating arc path. It's an in-wheel propulsion system with unique kinematics that can create an efficient thermodynamic cycle. This gear system offers area-contact sealing, making it ideal for engine applications and has a compact design for automatic Infinitely-Variable Transmission. ARCOG is also known as the Alternating-Rotational-Centerpoints Orbital Gyration, Axes of Rotation in Cyclic Orbital Gyration, Stratified Introduction, Accumulation and Distension Orbital Reverberation Cycle, and the contraction of "ARC COG" and "Area-Contact Gerotor." It consists of eight gears with three grouped components and two primary gear-train designs with different speed ratios. The ARCOG system is a unique alternative to conventional gerotors and has a Guinness World Records bid for the highest torque capacity in a parallel gear train.
