For this groundbreaking new project by Antonio Citterio, Arclinea begins with the fundamentals, reimagining the core principles of the kitchen: advanced steel technology and precision-cut natural wood. The revolutionary outcome stems from the synergy between these fundamental elements, resulting in something entirely fresh: a new direction for interior design, a new approach to kitchen furnishings, through uncharted combinations of materials and colors. Principia pairs rough-grained wood with stainless steel in innovative hues created using the cutting-edge PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process. Natural materials engage in a dialogue with each other and with evolving work zones, thanks to innovative production technologies and artisanal details. The ensuing new units, dressers, and storage solutions are then crafted internally to become true workstations. PRINCIPIA + ERA PENINSULA TABLE This Principia kitchen is both cozy and rational, with fossil oak wood as its centerpiece. The central workspace features base units with wooden doors and handles adorned with black PVD steel inserts, a thick Idra Brown unpolished marble worktop housing a Gun Metal steel sink, an induction hob, a worktop waste bin, sliding grids in PaperStone, and wooden chopping boards. Above the countertops, open wall units in wood and exclusive Arclinea Lighting Shelf and Mensolinea shelf play crucial functional roles: focused illumination, fume extraction, and organized storage of everyday items, thanks to their sliding accessories in wood and ceramic. On the right, a straight wall of tall units houses refrigerators, ovens, and a WIC (Walk in Closet) unit with internal wooden finish and motion sensor lighting.
