The original ring mount for the Archon W38vr is poorly constructed. The ball mount attaches via two small screws that are insufficient to withstand the levering forces of the lamp and video light arms. I designed a superior replacement for the original ball mount. Tip: Utilize M4 2mm RVS bolts and nuts for the top tightening, and M3 2mm bolts for connecting with the ball mount. Note that 2mm is slightly too large; an additional nut on top is necessary (refer to photo). Each component fits extremely snugly. Tighten the nuts and mount within their sockets with considerable force. Remove O-rings before sliding the assembly onto the lamp, as I learned through experience – destruction of these components will occur otherwise. Printed at 60% infill with no support material.
