Architect Lamp Replacement Clip
thingiverse
I bought a new architect lamp for my desk. Specifically a Globe Electric 56963 from Amazon. Also known as a swivel arm or multi-joint lamp, it is basic and fine for me, but apparently too cheap. The metal bulb housing/shade kept sagging down, and when I tried to tighten it, the plastic bracket between the arm and the housing crumbled. It was only a week old so I could have returned the lamp, but I'd just have to buy something more expensive and probably just as junky, so designed and printed my own replacement bracket. I added more material where my original bracket failed, hopefully this one will last longer. So far it has withstood my tightening and the shade isn't sagging any more. This is similar to the bracket by Courior_6 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4691225) but as my lamp is a different design I had to design a different bracket from scratch. I used TinkerCad as it's all I know.
