This trivet design is based on an intricate Archimedes Spiral pattern, perfectly showcasing the benefits of modern computerized production techniques over traditional manual methods. My custom build was created using a powerful desktop CNC machine from Stepcraft, precision-cutting 6 mm birch plywood with a 1.2 mm spiral-toothed flute bit. To add depth and visual interest, I applied a dark wood stain to one section of the design, creating a striking contrast that really makes it pop.
